Greetings everyone! Sorry once again for the lack of blog posts.

The other day my parents and I watched a movie called Chasing Mavricks. As we were watching it, I had the thought: this movie is a story about ministry and mentoring.

The movie is a true story of a boy who grows to love surfing. He would go out to the beach and timed the waves to when they swelled. Impressive.

This boy comes across a man who surfed for close to twenty years or more. Further down the movie, the boy asks this man (who went by the name Frosty) to coach him. After a while Frosty agrees.

The rest of the movie is about their relationship, through the ups and downs, and all that happens.

It was really good. Now that I’m thinking about it, it reminds me of Paul and Timothy in the Bible. In the book of Acts Paul and Barnabus travel to Durby and Lystra (Timothy’s hometown) and evangelizes those cities. After Paul and Barnabus have a falling out, Paul recruits Silas to be his new traveling partner. On their way back to Lystra they learn more about Timothy and decide to recruit him to join the team. Timothy joins them and no doubt encounters a lot of stuff in all of the traveling they did.

In 2nd Timothy, Paul reminds Timothy of some of those things, and also tells Timothy how much he is loved and reveired.

Great stuff there.

Comments, thoughts, questions, ect are always welcomed and encouraged.

God bless you all.

Grace and Peace.

Greetings everyone!

When I was at Sunset one of the class assignments was to write a paper on ministry themes in the Old Testament book of Micah. I read through the book again just now.

While reading through Micah, a few things stand out. All throughout the book, Jehovah God speaks out against false prophets and His people for acting wickedly. All through chapters one and two God denounces His people. In chapter three, He hammers the prphets.

In chapters four and five, Jehovah God prophesies about His coming to rescue them, and also prophesies about Jesus coming aswell.

In chapter six, Jehovah God again denounces Israel tells of punishment coming.

But in chapter seven, Jehovah God will rescue His people and gives them hope again.

What can we glean from Micah’s message?

Micah preached the message Jehovah God had for him to speak. As Christians, we too must speak the Bible as well. Our country has turned away from her Christian values it was founded upon. If we don’t go back to God, what will happen?

Yes indeed, Micah’s message could be for us too. I pray we all turn back to God.

Greetings everyone! I apologize for not writing for so long.

Last week my parents and I watched a movie called The Impossible. It was about a British family who takes a vacation to Thailand during the Christmas holiday season during the year 2004. They seemed to have a lovely time Christmas Eve and Christmas day.

On December 26th the impossible happens. A tsunami strikes and chaos ensues. I have never seen such terrible devastation before or since.

All the family reunites in the end. This is an experience none of them will ever forget. This is a movie I will never forget.

Thailand is part of Asia, the most populated continent on earth. I know people everywhere need Jesus, but how many missionaries do we have going to places like Thailand or Japan? Or elsewhere in Asia?

Praying for the Lord of the harvest to send out workers all over the world to tell the nations about Jesus.

Comments, questions, etc are always welcomed and encouraged.

God bless you all.

Grace and Peace.
