Greetings one and all! This is my third newsletter. October was a very busy month since the second term started. Lots of reading. I’ll be reading Judges through Nehemiah in the Bible as well as reading the sections of those books in Wilbur Fields’ book and Homer Hailie’s book for Old Testament History 2. Reading 5 Love Languages by Gary Chapman and a book on taxes for ministers. Reading Biblical Preaching by Haddon Robinson for Homiletics. A lot of homework for Greek. And we will hopfully have a lot of ministry opportunities from our Evangelistic Message course. I’m excited about the challenges we’ll have this term.

I hope and pray everyone had a great Halloween last night especially for the children. I remember my whole family had a lot of fun on Halloween over the years. The Sunset church had Trunk or Treat in the church parking lot last night. A few of my classmates went last night and passed out invitations Friends Day at the Sunset church for Sunday (tomorrow) (we all get one extra hour of sleep tonight). I went for a little while too. It was a ton of fun! I heard some one say there was over 1, 000 (one thousand) people that came last night. Incredible! I hope and pray everyone had a positive experience last night. I read Trey Morgan’s blog today and watched an extremly funny Halloween video. Check it out at treymorgan.net (it is a link on this blog). You’ll laugh out loud!

Tonight is the Tech- UT game here in Lubbock. The entire city has been in a buzz all week. Today Jacob (my brother-in-law) drove to the Tech campus and just walked around campus. We saw the ESPN College Gameday set. We met Chris Fowler and we got to shake his hand. That was really cool! We walked around a little bit more and saw some of the ESPN radio guys doing a show. Went by the Football stadium and there was a line about a mile long of Tech students waiting to get the best seats in the student section at the stadium. It was pretty amazing!

I’m going go to the Campus Ministry Wednesday night class at Sunset starting this week. I hope to be involved in Campus ministry (among other things) in the future wherever God takes me.

A big thank you to my family and friends who are supporting me, praying for me, and encouraging me. I woudln’t be where I am today with out you all. Thank you all so much! I can’t wait to be home for Thanksgiving and hope to see and visit with as many of you as possible during that week. My love and greetings to all of you. I love and miss you all so much! God bless!

Go Tech!
