Greetings everyone! A few thoughts for the day.
I know some time ago I wrote a blog on my own personal philosophy of ministry. In it, I wrote about why I wanted to be in fulltime ministry. There I wrote I wanted to be in ministry, because that’s all I wanted to do.
Three times I have been to Cameroon, Central Africa. I have been there to teach the Bible to people in Cameroon with World Bible School materials. Whenever anyone goes to Cameroon some of the preachers from Douala (the capital of Cameroon) go with us to translate into either Pigeon (a form of English) or French (the national language). One of the Brothers who has gone with us several times said people should go into ministry because they want to serve God and help people know Him.
Now my personal philosophy of ministry is because I want to serve God, to teach people about Jesus, to help them know Him, and serve people in Jesus’ name.
I want to work in campus ministry because so many people typically leave the church in high school and college. So many college students fall through the cracks in the church. I think that’s sad. I want to help college students come to know Jesus. I want to see them come alive in Him. I want to help them see themselves as missionaries on campus and in their vocations when they leave campus.
I don’t know if any of this makes since, or if this is all nonsince.
Your comments, thoughts, questions, etc are always welcomed and encouraged.
God bless you all. Grace and Peace.
