Greetings one and all! Sorry I haven’t written this until just now. Let’s talk about what happened in December. I got back to Lubbock after a great time at home for Thanksgiving. The weekend after we got back some of my classmates and instructors went up to Bushland, TX (just south of Amarillo) and helped the church advertise a gospel meeting to the community. The church there was probably no more then five years old. They had just completed construction on their first church building just four months prior. They decided to have a gospel meeting on creation versus evolution. They invited a speaker who has a PH.D in science with a specialization in creation versus evolution. They wanted help advertising it to their community, so a group of us from Sunset went out there to help. It was a lot of fun! We finished up assignments to be turned in for our classes. We had a celebration for three guys and one lady who were finishing up their studies at Sunset. Those four completed their studies and most of them are pursuing ministry opportunities elsewhere now. We had two school wide Christmas parties. We final exams. (I found out recently I passed two of my classes, but haven’t found out about all of them.) Then we all got to go home for Christmas and New Year break.
My time at home has been way too short. I have to go back to Lubbock on Saturday, January 10th and start back to school on Monday, January 12. I’m looking forward to getting back to school and work. But not looking forward to leaving everyone again. Lord willing I’ll be back home in March during Spring Break and definetly during the summer time as well.
Being at home with my family and friends has been awesome! I have enjoyed every second of it. Getting to be see my grandparents, aunts, cousins and their children, everyone at church has been great too. Most of all I’ve loved spending time with my parents, brother and sisters and their spouses and nieces.
Thank you all for all the support, both financial and spiritual. Thank you all who have loved me and prayed for me. I couldn’t be here with out you all. Thank you so much! I love and miss you all.
Before I go, the Apostle Paul asked the Ephesian church to “pray also for me, that whenever I open my mouth words may be given me so that I will fearlessly make known the mystery of the gospel …”. I really love that verse! Please especially be praying that for me. Thank you all!
God bless! Grace and Peace.
